Alphonse Gabriel “AL”Capone is considered to be the name of Al Capone. Al Capone was considered to be an American gangster under whom the prohibition era of crime syndicate was carried out. He was considered to be the main chain of Chicago outfit. The Chicago outfit was completely dedicated to the bootlegging liquor and smuggling. The Chicago outfit later became popular as the name “Capone’s”. The Chicago outfit also comprised of plenty of other illegal activity like prostitution from the period of 1920s to 1931 in Chicago.

Al Capone was considered to be involved in the illegal activity in young age. He was found to be expelled from school at the age of 14 and as further evidence he was involved in illegal activity since then. During the early 20′s he was considered to have moved to the city of Chicago to that he could take advantage of the opportunity of earning money. He got involved in smuggling alcoholic beverages which was considered to be illegal in the city at the time of prohibition. He got himself involved in different types of criminal activity’s among which includes the bribery of some of the government figures as well as prostitution.
Despite of his illegitimate occupation Al Capone also become a highly influenced public figure. He was considered to be taking plenty of interest at charitable endeavors by making use of the money which he made from his illegal activities. He was also considered to be viewed as the Robin Hood of modern-day by many people.

In later period Al Capone was considered to be convicted on plenty of federal charges that include tax evasion. In the year 1929 it is considered that the bureau of prohibition laid its eye on Al Capone. There were plenty of evidences which indicated that Al Capone was having income tax evasion and also with different violations of the prohibition, Volstead act. On October 17 it is found that the jury returned with a mixed verdict as it found Al Capone to be guilty of five different counts with tax evasion and also for failing to file tax returns. The imprisonment sentenced on Al Capone is considered to be the longest sentence ever made on tax evasion. He also had to pay heavy fines and liens were considered to be filed against his properties.

For the same reason he was found to be sentenced with federal imprisonment. This incarceration comprised a term which was the new federal prison called Alcatraz. He was considered to have been penalized with eleven-year sentence in the new federal prison Alcatraz. He spent his final years in the prison. He faced plenty of problems when he was serving the imprisonment in Alcatraz. He also had problems with its inmates and ended up in prison Hospital. This was the reason of having the neurosyphilis at its later stage. He was found to be having physical and mental deterioration He died in 25th of January in the year 1947, from cardiac arrest later suffering from stroke.
