Topic: Hazing Jokes for Interns and New Employees in Accounting Firms

Hazing is strictly prohibited in many firms and companies, and certainly malicious hazing is a despicable act.  But despite that we would never engage in it ourselves doesn’t mean that it has never happened – or that there are some funny stories about it.  Here are some funny pranks that we have heard of.  We strongly recommend that you do not engage in any of these pranks, with anyone, and keep an eye out for those on your teams potentially doing it to you!  Many people can react badly to hazing and it could jeopardize your career.  In short, have fun reading these funny hazing jokes but don’t act on them.

Funny Hazing Jokes for Accountants

• Sending the intern out into the parking lot to do a “physical inventory for number of parking spots” – counting each of them
• Sending offensive emails from their computer to yourself – the ensuing explanation from them that they didn’t do it can be funny
• Place random documents on their chair when they were away that are poorly labeled, and “could be anything” – say you didn’t see who left it for them.  Watch the confusion ensue.
• Send them to the office (assuming you are an auditor at a client location) to pick up “items” such as “unused tickmarks” – even better if you can indirectly get them to ask someone in the office where they are
