Sir Thomas Sean Connery also referred as Sean Connery was born on 25 August 1930. During his tenure as an actor he has garnered a vast amount of awards, most of them being Academy Awards and the BAFTA awards. He is a Scottish actor and a producer. He was also awarded knighthood in July 2000. One of the most famous things for which Sean Connery is famous for is his portrayal as James Bond, a spy in the service of his Majesty Spy Intelligence. Another interesting fact about Sean Connery is that he has been given the title of Shodan which means that he is a 1st dan in Kyokushin Karate.

Sean Connery was born in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh to Euphemia Maclean and Joseph Connery. His father worked as a factory worker and a lorry driver while his mother was a cleaning lady. During his youth, Sean worked many odd jobs that which included being a milkman, a lorry driver, a lifeguard and also as a model for an artist in Edinburgh College of Arts. He also joined the Navy, but was later discharged on medical conditions. At the age of 18 he began to work out in the gym as he was targeted by one of the most ruthless gangs in the city. His body building exercise favored him greatly when the gang of delinquents corned him one time. He single handedly destroyed all of the gang for which he gained the reputation of being a hard man and also gained him respect among the gangs.

At the age of 79, Sean Connery and his second wife Micheline Roqueburne came under investigation concerning tax evasion and money laundering. According to the authorities, Sean Connery and his wife spent their honeymoon in a beachfront mansion in Casa Malibu. There they entertained a lot of guests and played golf. When they were to leave, they sold their mansion at a price of $9 million in 1999. Later on that site a developer constructed a four storey block consisting of 72 apartments. This led to the start of an investigation on the charges that included money laundering and tax evasion.

Both Sean Connery and his wife were called to the magistrate office at Marbella Court of Instruction. Due to the fact that Sean Connery was a famous figure, the magistrate ruled this case in complete secrecy. It has never been confirmed whether the charges against the husband and wife were true or false. One thing is confirmed that Sean Connery and his wife never faced any criminal charges against them. During the investigation, an operation called “Gold Finger” was carried out in which the police raided many offices concerning the development sector.

Sean Connery and his wife currently live in the Bahamas. He has been criticized many times concerning the fact that he is very outspoken in the British politics while being in tax exile. Tax Exile refers to a person who is a member of one country but is living in another and not paying the taxes of either one.
