The Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) released the 500 section of the Accounting Standards Codification for the purpose of discussing the broad topic of Equity.
Accounting Standards Codification 505 (ASC 505) was released to address the more specific topic of equity, or shareholders equity to put it in different terms.
